Embed Media

The WebWizard's "Embed Media" options allows you to easily insert a wide variety of media files into your pages within seconds!

Simply enter the URL to the media file you wish to insert. The WebWizard will then determine the type of media you are trying to insert and display the following options accordingly:
Flash Options
Width / HeightDefine the width and height of your Flash movie
ScaleSets the scale mode for your flash movie. Options are:
  • Show All - All areas of the movie will be shown
  • No Border - No border will be shown around your move
  • Exact Fit - You movie will be scaled to the Width/Height you specified
  • QualitySets the playback quality for the movie. High qualities will look better, but slower computer may not be able to handle the movie at its correct speed
    BackgroundAllows setting the background window of the movie to "Transparent" or "Opaque". If "Opaque" is selected, the background color can be selected below;
    Background ColorSets the background color for the movie window
    AutostartAutomatically start playback when the page loads
    LoopIf unchecked, the movie will play once then stop.
    If checked, the movie will loop infinitely
    MenuAllow right-clicking on the movie to show the flash menu
    Minimum Flash version requiredIf your flash movie requires a minimum version of Flash to display correctly, you can specify it here. If a visitor has an earlier version of Flash installed, they will be prompted to upgrade before the movie plays
    Flashvars"Flashvars" is a way of sending data into a Flash file. Flash files can be created to accept incoming "variables" and process the value of these variables
    Placement MethodControls how you wish to embed the media into your page. Traditionally, Internet Explorer recognises <OBJECT> tags, whereas Mozilla (Netscape/Firefox) recognises <EMBED> tags. For maximum browser compatibility, it is recommended that you select both placement methods

    RealMedia Options
    Width / HeightDefine the width and height of the embedded RealPlayer
    Background ColorSets the background color for the embedded RealPlayer
    ControlsDefines which controls will be displayed along with your RealMedia file. NOTE: The size of controls is included when defining the Width/Height of the RealMedia file, therefore if you select a different set of controls you may need to update the width/height sizes. Each "Controls" option you select will display a "Suggested Size" for the RealPlayer. Click "Use Values" to set these suggested sizes as the player width/height
    AutostartAutomatically start playback when the page loads
    Suppress 'Real' LogoRemove the 'Real' logo which appears by default when embedding RealPlayer
    Maintain Aspect RatioIf an incorrect width/height ratio is specified for the RealMedia, it will appear "squashed" or "stretched". "Maintain Aspect Ratio" will keep the width/height ratio the same as the original media
    Center ClipCenter the RealMedia file in the embedded RealPlayer
    LoopSpecifies the number of times to play the file
    If "Infinite" is checked, the file will loop infinitely

    Windows Media Options
    Width / HeightDefine the width and height of the embedded Media Player
    DisplaySpecifies how much of the Windows Media interface will be shown to visitors
  • Invisible (No Controls or Video shown)
  • Video Only (No controls shown)
  • Basic Controls (Video with Status, Play/Pause, Stop, Mute and Volume controls)
  • Full Controls
  • VolumeSets the volume of the media file
    MuteMutes the volume of the media file
    Audio BalanceControls the audio "pan" between left and right speakers
    Stretch to FitIf enabled, the video will stretch to the specified width/height values
    Windowless VideoBy default, an embedded Media Player control renders video in its own window within the webpage. When "Windowless Video" is set to "true", the Player control renders video directly into the webpage, so that special effects can be applied, or the video layered with text
    Full ScreenShow the Media Player in Full Screen mode
    EnabledEnable the Media Player control. If "Enabled" equals "false" during full-screen playback, Windows Media Player hides the user controls
    Enable Context MenuSpecifies whether to enable the context menu, which appears when the right mouse button is clicked over the Media Player. If "Full Screen" mode is selected, with "Display" set to "None" and "Enable Context Menu" set to "false", Windows Media Player hides the mouse cursor
    Allow Embedded URLsAllows navigation to any URLs contained within the Media file when the embedded Media Player is clicked
    AutostartAutomatically start playback when the page loads
    Playback RateSets the speed of playback. The default
    No. of LoopsSpecifies how many times the media file should play

    QuickTime Options
    Width / HeightDefine the width and height of the embedded QuickTime player
    VolumeSets the volume of the media file
    ControlsSets whether playback controls will be displayed for the media file. If controls are visible, you may need to add 16 pixels to the overall height of the movie
    Kiosk ModeWhen "Kiosk Mode" is set to "yes", the QuickTime plug-in does not include its pop-up menu in the movie controller and does not allow drag and drop to save the movie
    HiddenIf a movie is hidden, it will not be displayed to visitors. This is useful for sound-only files
    Play FromThis setting defines the first frame that the movie will be played from. This attribute takes a time value in the form -- Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Frames (30ths)
    Play ToThis setting defines the last frame that the movie will be played up to. This can be any time up to the duration of the movie. This attribute takes a time value in the form -- Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Frames (30ths)
    AutoplayIf set to "yes", the media file will start playing as soon as the QuickTime Plug-In estimates that it will be able to play the entire movie without waiting for additional data
    LoopControls whether the movie should play once, loop infinitely, or play alternate forwards, then backwards (bounce)
    ScaleSets the "scale" of the movie. If "Fit" is selected, the movie will be scaled to the values entered for Width/Height. If "Aspect" is selected, the movie will be scaled to the Width or Height, whilst maintaining the movies original aspect ratio. Settings are also available to halve or double the original size of the movie
    Play Every FrameBy default, "Play Every Frame" is turned off. When turned on, the QuickTime plug-in will play every frame of the movie even if it is necessary to play it at a slower rate to do so. This setting is particularly useful to play simple animations
    URL when ClickedAllows you to set an URL to be navigated to if a visitor "clicks" the movie
    Background ColorSets the background color for any space that is not taken by the movie. For example, if a 160x120 movie was embedded in a space of 200x120, there would be 40 pixels of undefined color space in the width. Specifying the hex value of the background color will fill the undefined space with the chosen color
    Enable Scripting AccessIf you want to control a QuickTime movie using JavaScript functions, you need to enable JavaScript for that movie by setting this value to "Yes"

    YouTube Options To embed a YouTube.com movie, simply enter the URL of the YouTube movie you wish to embed into your webpage, and the WebWizard will generate the necessary code!

    Other Options The WebWizard can also embed other media types, and simple settings for the playback of these files can be changed:
    LoopSpecifies the number of times to play the file
    If "Infinite" is checked, the file will loop infinitely
    VolumeSets the volume of the media file
    BalanceControls the audio "pan" between left and right speakers
    VisibleShow (if checked) or hide (if unchecked) the Player for the media file. If the file being embedded is a background audio track, you may want to make it hidden in your webpage
